If you’re expecting an article about Tasmania’s population figures, main industries and convict history, think again.
Tasmania is a destination which deserves more than some dry old speil of regurgitated information.
It’s a vibrant, lush, natural state. Australia’s only island state. And that alone makes it pretty special.
But its beauty is beyond compare.
It’s green (think farming areas), it’s brown (think the Midlands!), it’s blue (think Wineglass Bay!) and the top part of it faces North – so it sparkles in the sunlight! And even for those Taswegians who have lived here their whole lives, it offers a new surprise everyday. Everyday there is something new and special to celebrate.
It’s a fabulous place to bring children. There is so much to see and do in Tasmania it will keep you coming back for more.
From the West Coast’s mining heritage, river cruises and winding train journeys to the North-West’s farming indstries, stunning waterways and outdoor play areas, back to Cradle Mountain and the Central Plateau for those who enjoy the rugged outdoors. In the central North, there’s the riverside city of Launceston and all it’s metropolitan offerings, the North East brings some of the most beautiful beaches in the world – take in Bicheno and Wineglass Bay as you head towards the State’s capital, Hobart. On the banks of the River Derwent, Hobart is the State’s largest city.
If you want adventure, play, historical tours, good swimming, fishing and cruising – Tasmania has it all. Your very own “little devils” will enjoy all that Tasmania has to offer!
